About the Job
PENTA is interested in interviewing individuals for multiple Construction/Testing Technician positions. The individual will train under the supervision of experienced engineers and project managers on load testing, and design/build projects primarily for existing facilities. We are a small company with a broad range of services, and the selected candidate will gain valuable experience in construction, design/build, load testing, and technical reporting.
Desired Skills and Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar field including non-destructive load testing, construction, rope descent, or logistics. Hands-on experience in construction, fabrication, production, or similar fields is also a plus but not a requirement. Military experience is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation is required. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check and drug screening. Compensation is commensurate on experience. Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to) the following:
- Fabrication, assembly, and installation of suspended access and fall protection equipment for new and existing structures
- Conduct inspections on suspended access, fall-protection, and rooftop safety equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations and the IWCA standard
- Prepare proposals for inspections, testing and equipment installations
- Construction, load testing and design/build projects for existing buildings
- Produce technical reports for load testing and inspections
