About the Job
PENTA is interested in interviewing entry-level and/or early-career professionals for construction project manager jobs. The individual will train under the supervision of experienced engineers and project managers to manage construction, load testing, and design/build projects primarily for existing facilities. We are a small company with a broad range of services, and the selected candidate will gain valuable experience in construction, design/build, load testing, technical reporting, structural modification, building assessment, and environmental consulting.
Desired Skills and Experience
Ideal candidates will have a degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, construction management, or physical sciences from an ABET accredited university. Prior construction experience is a plus but not a requirement. Previous experience in construction project management jobs may be substituted for the above educational preferences. Hands-on experience in construction, fabrication, production, or similar fields is also a plus but not a requirement. Military experience is also a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation is required. An EIT designation is desired but not required. The selected candidate will be subject to a background check and drug screening. Compensation is commensurate on experience. Benefits are available.
Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to) the following:
- Develop construction documents and specifications for suspended access and fall protection equipment for new and existing structures.
- Conduct inspections on suspended access, fall-protection, and rooftop safety equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations and the IWCA standard
- Prepare proposals for inspections, testing and equipment installations
- Construction, load testing and design/build projects for existing buildings
- Produce technical reports for load testing and inspections
