Tension and Compression
Applied Technical Services has the capability to calibrate force and load machines on-site at your facility. Our capacity is up to 600,000 pounds in compression and 60,000 pounds in tension. We can calibrate the small bench top testers as well as the large hydraulic test machines. This includes Tensile Testers, Universal Test Machines, Compression Test Machines, Concrete Break Machines, Concrete Pipe Testers, Top Loader Machines, Beam Test Machines, Pull Testers, Creep Testers, Stress Rupture Testers, Strand Testers, Stress Jacks and Spring Testers. We offer calibration in accordance to the most recent ASTM E-4 specification.
ATS can also calibrate your extensometers, compressometer and deflectometers on-site as well as calibrate the test speed and displacement on your test machines.
ATS uses master load cells and/or dead weights to calibrate your test machine. All of our load cells are calibrated in accordance with the most current edition of ASTM E74.
All calibrations performed in the field are traceable to NIST, The National Institute of Standard and Technology and are performed in accordance to documented and controlled procedures. Our Quality Assurance system complies with the applicable requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 9001-2000, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 and ISO/IEC 17025. Upon request, we can provide calibrations that are accredited to A2LA. Upon completion of our service at your facility you will be provided with Calibration Certificates for all the items calibrated at your facility. You can also be set up on our web based interface, iPortal, which gives you access to electronic copies of Calibration Certificates, asset history and due date reports for your equipment.
